Maximizing the information in a medical textbook, with design.

A lot of great information, for a sleek modern design.

Given Imaging, a world leader in GI medical devices and pioneer of capsule endoscopy, came to me with a 90-page word document that they wanted to transform into a medical textbook for students and researchers alike. We established a goal of maximizing the information for visual impact by organizing the content visually, creating additional breaks with the copy to allow the imagery and chapters to flow better to create a more digestible layout for the reader.
